"High-stake lake house"

Films: Freshwater (2016)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: Slightly larger than an average alligator.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: If there's one thing we can agree with Floridians on, it's that alligators have their place in our country. As in, they're in the same league with bears and mountain lions as appropriately feared predators. But every so often, we think we can share space with such creatures, and while this has worked out for some, it doesn't so much for the rest of us. Just look at these idiots when they tried being near this guy.

History: Alabama has an issue, and it's not rampant ignorance and racism, this time. Within Lake Charles, there’s an albino alligator with an attitude problem and a hunger for humans that dare infiltrate its turf. And no matter what the experts do, they cannot catch it. No one got to telling these young adults that when they crashed at the lake house there. Now, they are being hunted down by a tenacious reptile, and their limited survival instincts will truly bite them in the rear. Or other places, of course.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After the gator kills many, it is revealed that the sheriff has also been doing a bit of murder, and has been using the beast as a means of disposing of rich kids he doesn't like. Of course, he kills just about everyone in on the conspiracy, and the alligator is still out there.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-Alligators should be scarier than this, but that's what bad CGI can do to otherwise threatening creatures. While the twist adds a layer of fright to it all, it's really just the plot of "Lake Placid" but it's slightly more unnerving due to law enforcement being in on the deaths. Now if only the budget was any higher to give it extra oomph.

Trivia: -Albino alligators, like all albino animals, lack the melanin pigment in their skin, and as a result have white hides and red eyes. Leucistic alligators on the other hand have some patches of normally-colored skin and blue eyes.

-It is indeed possible for alligators to grow as big as this one. Like their croc cousins, they do not stop growing as they age, and some of the bigger ones can often be seen patrolling golf courses in Florida. Because if it isn't being taken over by human stupidity and/or opportunistic nature, it isn't Florida.

In other words, stay out of water. Forever.
Just when you thought this wasn't ripping off Jaws in SOME capacity.
